Founder, managing partner
Phil is an accomplished international medical technology executive with more than 20 years of senior leadership experience. He has a true understanding and appreciation of how great companies succeed given today’s priorities and challenges in the ever-changing healthcare market. Since founding the company, Phil has maintained a keen interest in helping clients improve the lives of the people around them through the successful commercialization of innovative technologies.
Prior to founding Tailwater Advisors, Phil was a leader and corporate officer at Healthcare Capital Services Inc. where he steered the organization to embrace new markets, leading to rapid growth and ultimately an exit with a top national bank. He also held senior leadership roles at Siemens Healthcare where he led complex projects, channel strategy and directed post-acute revenue generation activities. Phil was also the founder of Calyx Partners, where he led the successful exit of this diagnostic imaging holding company. Throughout his career he has recognized the value of connecting people and capital to opportunity and bringing together organizations to reach their full potential.
Phil has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Bowling Green State University and studied International Business at Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Nantes, France.
The focus of Jason's career has been helping companies grow and scale, both organically and through acquisition. His 20 years of experience span Fortune 15 and mid-size publicly traded, PE portfolio and privately held companies. Jason believes there is no substitute for working in and learning from these vastly different environments and witnessing how strategy, operations and talent needs evolve. Our expertise at Tailwater is bringing practical experience and wisdom to business owners and investors to help them make well informed decisions that minimize risk and generate profitable growth.
Jason's healthcare background encompasses software, capital equipment, automation, medical device, clinical services and care management. He has spent countless hours in all the major revenue/cost centers across the healthcare delivery system from hospitals to post-acute settings, including surgery, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, IT, clinical services. His corporate experience includes Vice President of STERIS Corporation leading the organization dedicated to serving the nation's largest healthcare systems. Prior to that, Jason held commercial roles of increasing responsibility with Beckman-Coulter, McKesson and Cardiac Science. He has also served as a consultant and investor to several early stage companies during fundraising and creation of their operations, sales and marketing functions.
Jason is a graduate of the Business School at John Carroll University and also the Executive Program-LEAN for Healthcare at the University of Tennessee.
